David S. Wan, D.D.S., M.S. (Owner)
Dr. David S. Wan grew up in Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas in Austin where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He matriculated into the University of Texas Houston Dental Branch and graduated in the top of his class. He continued his education at UTDB and was awarded his specialty certificate in Endodontics and a Masters in Science.
Dr. Wan had received extensive specialty training in diagnosis, root canal treatment, and microsurgery. He utilizes cutting-edge technologies and advanced techniques in root canal therapy. His armamentarium includes the use of the surgical microscope, rotary instrumentation, ultrasonics and thermoplasticized obturation.
Dr. Wan understands patients' anxiety associated with root canal therapy. He has extensive training in conscious sedation to help provide a comfortable experience for his patients.
Dr. Wan is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. He is also a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Wan enjoys mountain biking and spending quality time with friends and family.
Lisa C. Selem, D.D.S.
Dr. Lisa Selem originates from Atlanta, Georgia. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Selem attended the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where she received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery and graduated with honors. She then practiced general dentistry for 2 years in the Atlanta area but ultimately decided that Endodontics was her calling. Dr. Selem completed her specialty training in Endodontics from Georgia Regents University in Augusta, GA where she was honored with the Resident of the Year Award. Her research on endodontic filling materials has been published in both the Journal of Endodontics as well as the Journal of Dentistry and she serves on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Journal of Endodontics.
Dr. Selem is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontics, the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. Dr. Selem is dedicated to providing the highest quality endodontic treatment while focusing on alleviating her patients’ pain and fear.
She is pleased to have made Houston her home along with her husband, Alex, and their two dogs, Emmy and Hudson. She enjoys cycling, running, cooking, movies, and spending quality time with friends and family.
H. Candice Yang, D.D.S., D.Sc.
Dr. H. Candice Yang earned her dental degree from Taipei Medical University at Taiwan and then completed a one-year hospital based general practice residency at Cardinal Tien Hospital in New Taipei City. After the GPR program, she stayed in Taipei where she practiced as a general dentist before she enrolled in the Post-graduate Endodontic program at Boston University.
During her post-graduate Endodontic program in BU, Dr. Yang obtained extensive training in both research and clinical aspects and published several articles regarding pulp stem cells and metastasis mechanism of oral cancer.
She is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists and America Dental Association. In 2015, she moved to Houston with her husband who is an assistant professor at Periodontics department in UT dental school. During her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, travelling, and spending time with her friends and family.
Nikhil Reddy, D.D.S.
Dr. Nikhil Reddy was born and raised in Houston. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science. Dr. Reddy then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Afterwards, he continued his training at the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in San Antonio. His passion for endodontics drove him to pursue a career as a dental specialist and completed his Postgraduate program of Endodontics The University of Alabama at Birmingham under the decorated guidance of Dr. Paul Eleazer. While attending the program, he had the honor of treating patients at the Birmingham VA for one year. He then practiced in Denver, Colorado before moving back to Houston to be closer to family.
Dr. Reddy is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontics, the Greater Houston Dental Society, and Texas Dental Society. He believes in the highest of quality care for his patients with a conservative approach. He strives in having an honest relationship with each patient, with a delicate balance of appreciation, empathy, communication, and clinical excellence.
On his days away from the office, Dr. Reddy enjoys spending his time with family and friends, whether it’s exploring the great outdoors or lounging on the couch with Netflix. He loves all things sports related and is an avid fan of the Longhorns and our Houston teams. However, his biggest passion is music, from playing instruments or attending the many live shows that Houston has to offer. He is very excited to reconnect and call Houston home again
Bryce Taylor, D.D.S.
Dr. Bryce Taylor was selected for early admission into the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and graduated near the top of his class in 2007. His love for the outdoors led him to accept a position with the Indian Health Service in Alaska, where he flew to remote villages and delivered dental treatment to underserved populations. A significant portion of his duties included treating children.
He then went on to pursue training in Endodontics and graduated as the president of his class in 2012 from the University of Pennsylvania, a world-renowned microsurgery program. He practiced Endodontics for five years in Wisconsin prior to moving to Houston to be closer to family.
Dr. Taylor is an avid outdoorsman and is kept busy by an energetic dog, wife and toddler.
Armando R. Mejia, D.D.S., M.S.D.
Dr. Armando R. Mejia obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Science at the University of P. R. with Magna Cum Laude honors. Then he graduated from the University of P.R. Dental School at the Medical Science Campus in 1981 receiving his DMD degree.
He practiced general dentistry for fourteen years and then decided to enhance his professional career by attending the Henry Goldman School of Dentistry at the Boston University, under the guidance and mentoring of Dr. Herbert Schilder. This was where he was awarded a specialty Certificate in Endodontics and a Master in Science in Dentistry in 1998. He participated on research studies of T-Cells and pro-inflammatory mediators cells on lesions of endodontic origin.
Dr. Mejia is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, Texas Dental Association and the Greater Houston Dental Society.
Dr. Mejia has been practicing endodontics in the Katy and Houston communities for the past twenty years. Lives in Katy with his wife and two sons. On his time off he enjoys golfing and fishing. Dr. Mejia speaks English and Spanish fluently.
Ji Wook Jeong, D.M.D.
Dr. Ji Wook Jeong was born and educated in Seoul, South Korea. He earned Dental degree at Kyunghee University in Seoul, South Korea in 2001. He practiced at his private clinic for over ten years in Seoul and experienced a number of clinical cases and challenges as a general dentist. During practice, he put his effort in mainly endodontics and implant surgery. He obtained the credential associate fellowship of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) in 2008. Then he was teaching as an instructor for implant surgery at Maxicourse of AAID in South Korea. However, he wanted to improve his knowledge about Endodontics and then came over the US. Finally, he earned the postgraduate degree (MSD) and the specialty of Endodontics in the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry (UTHCS SOD) in 2017. He is the assistant professor of the UTHSC and also a member of “Contemporary Endodontics”.
Mei I. Tang, D.M.D., M.S.D.
Dr. Mei I Tang grew up in Macau, China. After high school, she moved to the United States and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences at the University of California, Davis. She attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, earning her dental degree with honors. She completed a general practice residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. After moving to Richmond, Virginia, she completed her Endodontic specialty training, earning her Certificate in Endodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
During her residency, Dr. Tang spent a significant portion of her time teaching dental students about root canal procedures. In addition, she participated in multiple mission trips to provide root canal treatment for underserved patients both locally in Virginia and abroad in Jamaica. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists.
Dr. Tang also speaks Cantonese and Mandarin and finds satisfaction in helping her patients understand root canal procedures.
Dr. Tang recently moved to Houston with her husband. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, baking, tennis and dancing.
